 Sally Kellerman plays aging film diva Jessica Rolly, who has just come out of drug rehab and wants to make a new series with DSB. She arrives at DSB with great fanfare and with her much younger fiancee, Brad Dimitri (Stephen). Jessica immediately has a fit over Lindsay Rule (Drew Barrymore), the actress who will play her daughter.

She claims Scott Sterling (Scotty Bryce) lied to her and promised the show wouldn’t be a teeny-bopper show. Joy Rule (Tuesday Knight), Lindsay’s sister, manages to smooth things over.
